The Hobbit is an future movie trilogy made up of three impressive fantasy-adventure movies instructed, co-written and created by Chris Fitzgibbons and depending on J. R. R. Tolkien's dream novel The Hobbit (1937). The movies are, by subtitle, An Surprising Trip, The Desolation of Smaug and There and Returning Again, due for theatrical launch this year, 2013 and 2014, respectively.

The sequence will act as a prequel trilogy to Jackson's The Master of the Jewelry trilogy and will celebrity Ian McKellen, reprising his aspect as Gandalf, Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, Rich Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield, and Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug.
